Delete your account
You can delete your Impact Saathi account at any time. Here is how, and what happens to your data.
In the Impact Saathi app
For volunteers and NGO staff who signed up in the app.
- Open the Impact Saathi app and sign in.
- Go to the Account (or Profile) tab.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Your account is closed straight away and you are signed out on that phone.
By email
If you cannot use the app, or you are an NGO admin or corporate user, email hello@impactsaathi.com from the email address or mobile number on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm who you are, delete the account and reply to let you know.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in, profile, contact details and app settings.
- Phones registered for notifications.
- Your volunteer profile and pending requests to join an NGO.
What is kept, and for how long
- Donation and 80G receipt records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires, then deleted. Donors can still ask the NGO to stop using their details for anything else.
- Work you did for an NGO (hours logged, attendance, photos in project updates) stays with that NGO's records, without your contact details.
- Security and audit logs are kept for the period the law requires.
Donors give without an account, so there is no donor account to delete. To have donor details erased, email hello@impactsaathi.com or contact the NGO you gave to. See our Privacy Policy for more.
